Thank you Maxwell’s for a fabulous birthday treat. My friends and I celebrated with Maxwell’s on Friday. The atmosphere was great and the food was in it's plenty with generous portions. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

We went to Maxwells on a Saturday night for dinner and ended up there until 2 am. The food was great, the desserts were big but the cocktails... were amazing. The place really got going about 10 pm with the DJ playing some really cool tunes, the dance floor filled and we joined in. Every night of the week they have deals on the food or the drink, we got POWER HOUR, for the full hour drinks at £1.50, on a Saturday night. Such a great night we became members, highly recommended. We will be back for sure.

My wife, Jane, and I booked to eat at 8pm on a Saturday evening. We arrived at 7.50 and were directed to the bar, which was packed with young people (we are in our forties). The background music was quite loud. We realised that the service was not going to be of the highest quality and that we would never be seated at 8. We questioned whether they even had a record of our booking. How wrong could we be? We were seated at 8 and the service was excellent, far better than many 'quality' restaurants we've eaten at. The 'American' food was also of a high standard. Not our usual 'style' but highly enjoyable never the less.

The small bar area is popular for the happy hour on cocktails, but the food is great - large portions of Mexican food, the salads are also delicious, and it's great value. It's always lively with loud music in the evenings, so go in the daytime if you want a quieter meal.
