Just want to say a big thank you to everyone in The Meat and Wine Co. They made my evening and my birthday a night, which I will always remember. From the moment I walked in, the warmth and unpretentious greeting I received from the hostess – I just knew I was going to have a good night. As I walked up the stairs I was blown away by the décor as well as the impeccable service. My waiter was so attentive and charming I think he came from Albania. His product knowledge was exceptional as he recommended a wine which was the perfect accompaniment to my main course. The icing on the cake was the sparklers and the heartfelt Happy Birthday which was sung to me even remembering my name by most of the team. The pièce de résistance were the two very good looking guys in striped shirts who seemed to orchestrate the whole event. I will definitely be back again very soon, in the mean time will tell all my friends about this fantastic place.

I took my mother, and aunt who travelled up from Sussex for the day too shop till they dropped and we decided to have dinner at The Meat and Wine Co. Westfield, the restaurant is amazing, with decor like this you would think that you weren’t in grubby London.

The service was just so friendly and personal, and as for the steak was so tender and tasteful, especially for a rump steak. The dessert choice we opted for was recommended by the waiter what a wonderful choice we did make, mouth-watering and complimenting the talented chef, as the home made fudge was too die for.

Well done Meat and Wine!!! You managed to impress and we will definitely be back!!!

Yesterday being a Saturday and after spending a morning shopping at Westfield my family - myself, my wife and two kids, one was three years old and another one was 6 months old, decided to have a proper lunch. It was incredibly busy and there were long lines in most of the restaurants. To try something substantial we finally went to the Meat & Co. The restaurant staff requested us to wait for 20 minutes at the bar and while my wife was still in Westfield and I spent these 20 minutes at the bar. Then we were requested to go up to the restaurant on the first floor. Within 10 minutes a waiter came and asked if we were ready to order. We ordered a kid's meal for the 3 year old, 2 starters and 2 main courses with drinks. A specific request was made to bring the kid's meal first. When nobody came to us within next 15 minutes after placing the order we started asking other waiters about our drinks. After asking another 3 waiters to check the status of our drinks we spent an additional 15 minutes before the drinks arrived. Our waiter did not provide any explanation. After 10 minutes the starters arrived with kid's meal despite the early request to bring it first. The starters were reasonably good and we spent about 15-20 minutes with them.

The delivery of the main course was a complete disaster. Following numerous reminders, it took another 50 minutes after we finished the starters to bring the main course. We declined to accept the main course, which they offered to take off the bill as compensation, paid for the starters without the service charge and left quite crossed. The weird thing was when they were asked to provide a reasonable explanation to the exceptionally bad service they did not have one. Conclusion: 1. having spent over 2 hours for a lunch at the Meat and Co was the biggest disappointment of dining in London. 2. Generally good quality of the food and interior cannot compensate for disastrous service and they really have to do something with their management practices before it's too late. 3. You may risk dining at this establishment only if you have sufficient time and patience.

The name is bland and the facade for the restaurant is equally so, but don't let that fool you. I have eaten at many steak restaurants around the world, including branches of Meat And Wine Co in Dubai and Australia, but this is the best place for a steak I've ever had. It's not the most inexpensive place I've ever been too but you do get what you pay for. I just wish I'd gone for a larger steak. During the meal, and I mean we hadn't had pudding yet, my wife and I were already working out what we'd have next time. We sat quite close to the open plan kitchen area and could see what was coming out and I must say it all looked good. The interior décor was great, very modern and current. There is a bar downstairs and large seating area. The main restaurant is upstairs and very cosy for such a large room. All members of staff encountered were friendly, courteous and attentive but not annoyingly so. All in all, this is a great restaurant with great food. I can't wait to go back.

Went here for lunch with a friend today, and we both thought it was superb. We had fillet steak, which was superb, melt-in-the-mouth, full-flavoured aged meat and substituted the included chips for fantastic onion rings and some superb mashed potatoes. A lovely Australian shiraz (number 507 from the very extensive wine list) was very reasonably priced. The service was attentive, but not over the top by any measure. We followed this with a shared, luscious bread and butter pudding. We are already planning a return visit for Thursday! Oh, and the bathrooms are worth a visit to just check out the cream leather tiles on the floor!

I love a good steak and do enjoy a good bottle of wine, so this place got me in on the name alone. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, the waiters are very attentive, somewhat overly so, and everything seemed to be well presented. The wine was good, but the meat was hideously overpriced. We paid £25 for their medium sized steak, which came with only a dozen or so French fries. We even had to pay £2 extra for a sauce. The steak was pretty ordinary, and had virtually no flavour. It was supposed to be their speciality. They do a staff sing along for birthdays, which although fun, doesn't really reflect on their pricing. It's nice enough, but way too expensive to warrant a repeat visit.
