Took my husband to Melton's Too as a surprise for his birthday. It was our first visit to York and I had booked by email, so the restaurant was a surprise too. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left it was a great experience. The relaxed dining atmosphere, the quality of the food, and the attentive staff, simply made the evening really enjoyable. Thoroughly recommended!

The standards here are quite high as ever. Bistro and tapas foods are well prepared, the staff helpful and ambience relaxed. This place is useful when you need something substantial in the afternoon or early evening, when many restaurants are closed. It’s definitely worth a visit at proper mealtimes as well.

I visit this place regularly, it’s a brilliant informal place with superb food. The staff here are always welcome. Many a times have we popped in there at 10:15pm for Coffee and scrummy sticky toffee pudding. The place is also very child friendly.
