We went here for my birthday. We were in the downstairs room which was okay, if a little poky and uninviting. The most positive aspect of this restaurant is the food. All four of us were impressed by the standard which can only be described as exceptional. We were also given a birthday cocktail and a cake which we all found to be a very nice touch.

We dined at Michael Moore for the second time last night. It was superb. Excellent starters - crispy duck and carpaccio of lamb were particularly good. Mains were delicious - especially the guinea fowl and duck. Puddings were tip top. The wine was well kept. Generous helpings of lots of different breads were much appreciated. Service was friendly relaxed and efficient. Michael Moore came to talk to all his diners and was wonderful company. A memorable night. We will be back.

We visited on 21 August to celebrate my son's 21st birthday....what an amazing evening it turned out to be! The food was unbelievable and beautifully served by friendly and efficient staff. Nothing was too much trouble but everything was done in a relaxed manner. Michael introduced himself at the beginning of the evening and at the end of our meal he joined us and entertained us for over an hour with anecdotes and jokes.... what a fabulous and funny man on top of the talent as a chef! We will never forget our evening and can't wait to go back again.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone. The food is delicious, well presented and good value for money. Michael is a charming host, and both he and his staff looked after us very well. A great night out and I will be back!

Saturday evening was my second visit to Michael Moore's within a three week period. My first visit was on a weekday for a business lunch which was excellent, hence my return with my husband having raved on and on about the standard of the food and the service. I have just two complaints, not serious but worth a mention, rack of lamb for main course was tiny (!!) three little chops and secondly I prefer to see the wine bottle (it is kept behind the bar), I found that we had drunk a bottle of wine very quickly due to the lovely lady topping up!!!! Still not too bad a complaint, look forward to returning.

My business partner Deborah and I dined here for lunch on 26th June 2003. Simply stunning. The service was delightful, the food mouth-watering. I was treated with the asparagus with chilli, followed by monkfish on lobster noodles. I was in gastronomic heaven. We then met Michael. What an amazing personality. I laughed so much my stomach ached.
A week later and I am dining there again with my business partner, in fact we are thinking of taking permanent residence there with our laptops, given the chance, who wouldn't??
My advice, treat yourself to the Michael Moore experience. Sheer bliss!!

I was introduced to this wonderful place at a Christmas party and the food was amazing. The other day I took my husband there and the food was better than I remembered it to be. The way I see it is if a place can get you hooked on their food at a Christmas party they have won you for life. 10 out 10 for food, service and affordability.
