I had a fantastic evening - the food was delicious but the desserts were the best, three different ones shared by our party and all utterly yummy.

I had recently been to the Nags Head and was very impressed. We stopped by on the spur of the moment on a Sunday, and despite not having booked and the restaurant being busy, they had found a table for us. We were told they needed the table in an hour and a half, but it was said politely and we did not feel rushed at all. After eating we sat in the bar area and enjoyed a drink from an excellent drinks menu. Would be going back soon and even trying to book for works Christmas do.

We had taken some relatives from New Jersey to the Nags Head in spring 2007. The food was excellent, service good and although a little more pricey than the High Street, that was well worth the visit. My relations cannot wait to return.

I went there for a meal during the quiet period between lunch and evening. Whilst admittedly quiet, the service and food were excellent, despite the limited menu up to 6pm. I was especially impressed by the wide range of quality lagers that helped wash down my pizza. I will definately be returning for an evening meal.

We recently ate at the Nags Head and had a wonderful experience, the food was incredible and the service and staff amazing. The prices were fair and the drinks even better. Thank you for a wonderful time.

We had dinner at the Nags Head on Friday and won't be going back. This was the 4th or 5th time we'd eaten there and believe that the high standards they started out with have dropped considerably. Service was slow, the menu had not changed enough to notice a difference (we were told that it changed a couple weeks ago but you could have fooled us) and the food was less than impressive given the price - £9.50 for a prawn, chorizo and spinach salad that had 4 prawns in it .... The Nags Head has done well over the last year or so since opening but we now feel there's certain arrogance to the place and wonder how long it will before people start going elsewhere.

I agree with Miss Kay's review. One rather annoying point is the two sittings habit which seems to be creeping in more and more. You can either book for 7 pm or 9.30 pm. I don't like to be under pressure to get up from the table at 9.30 pm or left waiting for my table to be available at 9.30 pm. But as it's a pub I suppose it is to be expected.

The menu here is very good if you need something classier than a regular pub and to suit a wide range of tastes - daily specials can sometimes uncover a little gem. However the service is erratic and the food not always completely up to scratch. In all fairly good value but don’t expect West End food or service.
