Olive Press is one of the restaurants in the Heathcotes group. Basically that is a guarantee of quality and it actually didn't disappoint me at all. A group of us went there for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy, but it still maintained a good comfy environment. Obviously they have a good selection of Italian wine from easy-drinking house to quality Barolo and Chianti.

The menu is well covered for all different taste. A couple of vegetarian dishes, seafood dishes, pizza, pasta and a range of antipasti. The kitchen is semi-open so you can see chefs preparing food, put them on plate and serve. The smell makes you drooling when you wait for your food. I ordered a white wine and herb risotto, basic stuff. The risotto was cooked perfectly, however, the taste was slightly bland and the amount of cream was at the high side. It didn't stop me finishing the whole dish though. For dessert, I chose tiramisu and it was top notch. Generally, Olive Press is an ideal place both for groups and couples. Price is reasonable. Food is well-presented, tasty and nothing pretentious.

Congratulations to Olive Press and its staff for yet another excellent meal - the kids loved it especially, how pleasant to find somewhere that takes care to look after youngsters and goes out of its way to cater for them, an example to many other places. And us adults like the food and ambience too!

We had a super meal at the Olive Press in Liverpool. It was quite busy but our waitress was really attentive and the Irish barman, Dave, was lovely. We both had a pizza and they were really tasty made with really fresh ingredients. Very good value for money. We have even booked our works Christmas meal there! The manager Shaun was charming and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.
