It was a great visit to the Olive Press - Preston, they consistently get everything right there, excellent food and service, great portions and good value for money. On a rainy day, 2 hours in the Olive Press and you feel like you've been on holiday, such a warm, cosy and friendly atmosphere, you won't want to leave. Great lunch offer also - 50% off on pizza and pasta.

The Olive Press has a warm, friendly atmosphere. The menu and wine list are good. I would recommend the lamb meat balls, and the selection of cheese drizzled with honey, and truffle oil. For all chocolate lovers the menu offers a chocolate pizza to be eaten with your coffee or to take home.

We took our son to the Olive Press on his tenth birthday, and the meal and service were excellent. The staff made a fuss of him and not only did he get a birthday plate complete with candles, the waitresses even sang ‘happy birthday’ to him, which he was very pleased about! We will definitely go back.

I spent a full friday evening there for my birthday planned as a surprise by my girlfriend and had an awesome night. The staff are attentive and friendly with plenty of banter. The food, well priced, was fantastic and arrived in no time considering we were such a large party! I was also suprised by one of their homemade birthday cakes which topped off a brilliant evening - thanks to the chef for that one.

The cocktails in the pre bar above the restaurant taste great but were still potent. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great value evening in a restaurant with a real atmosphere that suited our large party but would have been equally as good for a couple.

It’s a nice place with nice food and the cost is reasonable, however, the Olive Press in Clitheroe is superior in terms of venue, staff and quality. I often think that the Olive Press trades off its supposed reputation of its owner and at times I’m left a tad disappointed and other Italians in the area are better. On one visit the service was shaky but on the whole it would be a six on ten.

Lunch on a Monday at the Olive Press was delightful. The staff were friendly and polite, service was prompt, and the food delicious and excellent value. Though the Olive Press restaurant was closed by the time we had finished our desserts, we were not made to feel hurried, and simply moved upstairs to the bar area for drinks to finish the meal when we were ready. The upstairs bar/waiting area is well furnished with some very soft, comfortable chairs, and was perfect for just relaxing after the meal. My one very minor criticism would be the presence of a flat-screen television on the wall. The sound was off, but it felt unnecessary and distracting - though the staff were perfectly willing to turn it off when asked to do so.

All in all, a brilliant place to eat (to my knowledge, the only decent expensive restaurant in the centre of Preston), situated in Preston's Georgian Winckley Square, and a stone's throw from Avenham Park. I strongly recommend it.

Olive Press - brilliant. Well priced and wonderful homemade food. The chicken and sweetcorn pizza is to die for. I can't wait for my next visit.

The food and service at both the Olive Press and the Chop House are overpriced. Yes, it is of high quality but anyone wanting a decent drink would be none too impressed to discover the house vodka is none other than 'Odessa' vodka, which is akin to using hairspray in drinks. The cocktails, which are priced at £7, contain this cheap and nasty vodka so avoid them at all costs. Also, on close inspection, the bar area is one of the dirtiest I have ever seen, with wine glasses having to be polished to get rid of lipstick marks left as the glass washer is ancient. The food? Yes, it is good quality, if somewhat overpriced. The drinks? Don’t go there.

Great food with a great atmosphere - what more can you ask for!? Friendly faces and always a pleasure to go there no matter what the occasion is. Can't wait to have my Christmas Party here! Great new menu you've also got!!

I have been to the Olive Press a couple of times now and must say this is an Italian restaurant that stands out from the rest. My wife and I like to dine out as often as possible and the last couple of times it has not taken long to decide where to venture to.

There is always an atmosphere no matter what time we dine and nothing is too much trouble, I have a couple of dietary requirements which are always catered for without an eye rolling or "I'll check with the chef."

Their wine list is extensive and there is something to compliment every meal; well worth a visit.
