Very good, to put it simple since the change, the food, although not completely original, still boasts excellence. Interior was very nice too, however the lights were more like heaters rather then tools to help you see around the restaurant. The service was also not very consistent however, I recommend the duck salad, exquisite.

The Orange Tree is a lovely pub with reasonably good food and rather dubious service. We have only ever been there over lunchtime. Service has varied each time between good and appalling but we have always had the feeling that when we ask a member of staff for something we are seriously intruding on something more important that they need to do.
The location is excellent and as previously mentioned the food is not bad, it’s just a shame that the prices are rather high for what is only a reasonable standard. Nice place for a quiet lunch as long as you do not expect too much from your experience.

The Orange Tree is one of the few places where you can go and relax when eating. The past couple of times I have been there the atmosphere was calm and I had an enjoyable meal which lasted a couple of hours. There is plenty on offer but make sure you have elastic in your waistband. Having a three course meal leaves you completely full, even if you only want a starter and main the pudding menu tempts you to order. This place is ideal for a more adult atmosphere and the chance to catch a glimpse of the odd minor celebrity who pops in.

When I arrived at the Orange Tree Pub I was pleasantly surprised at the lovely interior. However, the food and service did not live up to the expectations created by the decor and prices. Being entirely honest the chips I had in Camden at 4am the night before we much nicer! Two waiters came over within a minute of sitting down, neither knew about the other. And when we were ready to order we had to catch someone's attention as they did not come over a second time. When we had ordered we had to remind them about our drinks after about 10 minutes. A nice place to go for a drink but not for dinner.

I went with two friends for Saturday lunch. We were very, very disappointed with the service. We ordered pizzas that had to be returned twice. First time because the order was wrong; and the second time because they were cold. Even the 'embarrassed' waitress admitted as such apologetically as she took them back. We also had to cancel the desserts and just asking for our bill after waiting over half an hour for them to appear.
The service was appalling and the staff were not on the ball. We did raise this with the manager on the day; and he seemed nonchalant about it. Overall - the Orange Tree has lost sight of customer service and forgotten that the customer is king. I will be writing this to the manager of the chain that owns the Orange Tree. However - I warn you - caveat emptor - if you go and get bad service - you have been warned.

Sadly our visit to the Orange Tree did not live up to expectations. Over staffed so service went down. Ate in the bar as we were told it would be 10% extra in restaurant. Caesar salad a plat of wilted dirty little gem lettuce thrown on the plate. No bacon three small pieces of chicken £9.50! Linguini not too bad but hard to eat with knife and fork. Unable to attract attention of the staff as a book on the end of the bar was of more interest. No condiments offered. Very unhappy experience not to be repeated.

I would love to review this restaurant but every time we try to go, it's completely booked out. The staff never answer the phone so short of actually visiting the venue, it's very difficult to book. For example, this week I've tried to call the restaurant since Wednesday for a Saturday night booking but the phone was never answered. I popped in on Friday morning and couldn't get a reservation for Saturday evening at any time. This might be a great place - the queues suggest it is - but a decent booking policy would be much appreciated.
