My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary and decided to go to The Peach Tree after being recommended by several friends. I have to say we were not disappointed at all, after a couple of drinks in spirit champagne bar, we were taken through to the restaurant, which was a stunning mix of the old and new. My wife had ordered scallops with homemade black and white puddings and cannon of lamb to follow, both were amazing. I had ordered seared pigeon with artichoke risotto and a special 38 day matured fillet of local beef with foie gras as my main course. It was fantastic, a great way to spend our anniversary. The waiting members of staff were efficient, polite and unobtrusive; you wouldn't believe it was a Saturday evening. Very slick, I will be back, keep up the good work.

I absolutely agree with below review and not with the first review as I'm guessing it has been refurbished since 2005. It now looks really fashionable with a mix of vintage and modern. The salmon and steak were perfectly cooked and we also stayed for drinks at the adjoining bar after the meal, which has also been beautifully designed. The bar staff were really friendly, chatty and helpful.

What a find! My friends and I booked a meal at The Peach Tree Restaurant. I was slightly concerned after reading the previous review but I shouldn’t have worried. From the moment we walked through the door until the time we all left around 2.30am - it was completely faultless. We started the evening in the new adjoining Spirit Champagne Bar, which apparently is the latest addition to the Peach Tree complex. The service was unstuffy, friendly but extremely efficient. The food without exception was exquisite, tasty and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was electric with a buzz assuring you that you're probably in one of the happening places in town. The unexpected added bonus for all of us was the C21 nightclub, which is also within the same venue where we danced the night away. For me this was the ultimate dining and night out experience. Well done!

After reading the review on this web site and visiting the Peach Tree's own website I booked a table and was looking forward to sampling the mouth-watering dishes described. The establishment itself it a beautiful mix of old and new, but the menu is a complete disappointment - they have reverted to a standard 'chain pub' style menu and so we had a drink at the bar and left. We did explain to the waitress that the menu was completely different to the one shown on the web site, her reply was 'oh, that's years out of date'! What a shame.
