Took the family for a meal on Saturday - nine of us in total plus a baby. The members of staff were attentive and efficient, the food and drinks were of a very good standard - try the venison - it melted in the mouth. We all had something different, from a burger to lamb rump and everyone was thrilled with how good it was. I've been there countless times now and never been disappointed.

We stayed at the Pine Marten, on Boxing Day for two nights. We had a lovely large room. The bathroom was very modern, the bed, comfortable, and towels and bedding, first class. There were wood fires, and the central heating worked well, the members of staff were very friendly and always helpful. We walked into Harrogate and back, about 1 1/4 miles each way, even though the bus stop was outside the Inn. Lastly the food was excellent and not too pricey.

Went to the Pine Marten on Saturday night, the reason for going was a) its sister pub the White Hart was fully booked and b) to give the place a second chance after having spent £160 on a meal for two a couple of months ago that was well below average. I'm sorry to say that this didn't come up to scratch either, for a Saturday the place was not even a quarter full, we were seated by our waitress, who was very nice, first thing was we had dirty wine glasses, we ordered our food of which the starter was very nice if a little pricey considering it was vegetable antipasti for £9.50. Our steaks arrived – we both asked for rare, mine was medium and my partner’s came with a cold béarnaise sauce although he asked for peppercorn. The service up until then had been very good but as soon as our mains were bought to us we were promptly forgotten about. It’s a real shame because it's a lovely pub with potential to do great things.

Wonderful building, great atmosphere. Staff were efficient and friendly, menu had plenty of choice and prices were good for area. Bedrooms were nicely decorated and would recommend to all to try it now it's been refurbished and is under new management!

Ate at Pine Marten on Sunday at lunch. The decor is very nice and the surrounding location is beautiful. I ordered the Sunday roast which I thought was very good. It was a little expensive, but not too much more than other Sunday roasts. My friend ordered the scallops and I was disappointed for her... I thought it was very expensive for what she got, which was about 5-6 scallops with a very small amount of noodles. She said it tasted good, but the portion size for that dish was very disappointing. Overall, I would go back even though it is a little 'pricey'.
