I had a very enjoyable evening and a reasonably priced meal, although I had higher expectations of what would be on offer. The restaurant has focused on classic dishes such as steak, hamburgers and chips, duck and wild cherries etc. There are also higher priced options such as the seafood and caviar. My expectation is that the presentation of such classic and quite frankly bland combinations should be exceptional given the class of the restaurant; however, the food was really quite mediocre. The service was very good though and the wine list was also very high end.

I was one of a party of 8 people for lunch on 6th December and all 8 of us were seated at what is normally a 4 person table as witnessed by some of the other tables around, so not a good start. Ordered seared scallops for a starter, when it arrived I couldn't believe what I was seeing, two small scallops and one slightly larger. Three scallops for £12, outrageous. The rest of the food ordered was fine, although I would expect Chateaubriand at £26 per person to be finished and served at the table, not just presented already sliced. I won't be rushing back.

That place is really nice, food is fantastic and service is accurate. The seafood is always fresh and really well cooked, the atmosphere is charming and even if it is a big restaurant you still find it quite discreet. I would come back for sure.

We visited Quaglinos on a friend’s recommendation However, the food which we were served was very poor indeed, overpriced and totally lacking any kind of presentation. A smoked salmon starter was a few slices thrown onto a plate with a sprig of herbs and half a lemon; the main course pasta was dried up and stuck together, and a Rossini steak, supposedly blue, was medium and charred on the outside. The chocolate fondue struggled to even get warm, and the profiteroles served with it still frozen inside. All that saved the evening were some good cocktails and an excellent house band. I wouldn't recommend Quaglino's to a friend, and would not be returning.

My husband I ate at Quaglino's using a voucher given as a gift. We could not fault any aspect of our wonderful evening. It had a great atmosphere, food was fantastic, (fruits of the sea) the waiter was very attentive but discrete. We too, could not believe the negative reviews, surely not the same restaurant! Make your own mind up, eat at Quaglino's.

Move over The Ivy, Quaglino's has a great menu, fantastic ambiance and they don't pack you in like sardines. I cannot believe some of the negative reviews I have read. Would absolutely recommend.

Pre-theatre meal on 24th Feb. Plenty of staff attending. Unfortunately meal was cold and all four servings were sent back. Second meal came out and although warmer, still not particularly hot. Meat was extremely tough and barely chewable. Not particularly well presented. In view of complaints I was surprised they charged us for vegetables. Very disappointing especially as it was for a special birthday occasion. Won't be visiting again!

My friends and I visited your restaurant on the 24th February. We were so excited at the prospect of eating at your restaurant prior to seeing a show. What a disappointment. We all had the braised onglet which came with mashed potatoes, well I would call it a dollop really, not well presented and very, very cold. We sent this back and the replacement wasn't much better and the steak was uneatable. We all had a voucher for £20 which was supposed to cover a 2 course dinner and coffee but when the bill came we were charged for the coffee and the manager only grudgingly took this off when we pointed out what the voucher covered. I didn't find the staff friendly or helpful, what a shame, the only blight on our lovely day.

We visited the restaurant with two children ages 10 and 15. Superb food, excellent service, great atmosphere.

We had a great experience at Quag's. The food was excellent (particularly the starter of steak tartare) the service to our table was also first class, and we really liked the bustling environment of the restaurant. We will definitely go back for seconds!
