We have been to The Red Barn several times since its lovely transformation. We went as a large group on one occasion and were told that our food would take a while. When we asked why, we were told that it was cooked from scratch! It was worth the wait. We have also been as a couple and as a family, and each time the welcome has been friendly and the setting and ambience were excellent. The menu offers a good selection of fresh, seasonal dishes and portions are just right. We love it.

I had dinner at The Red Barn on Good Friday 2009 with my girlfriends. Lovely evening, the new head chef, Chris Reeves is fantastic, doing a great job. The food was excellent - my pork was perfect and my girlfriends all enjoyed their meals, service was good and the ambience was relaxed in elegant surroundings. Really recommend this restaurant.

We spent New Years eve there and we had a lovely time. They had a piper and everything and we also had a magician come round to our table. The food of course did not disappoint. We have already booked there for Valentines Day because it’s the only place we both know where we are guaranteed an excellent meal, warm welcome and adult company.

Three of us there went last night and were very impressed with the decoration and lovely food. Most outstanding was the farmhouse salad to start and a wonderful fish pie. The wine selection was good and reasonable, and the service friendly. I don't often write reviews, but this place is very special.

We had a fabulous meal at The Red Barn last night. The food was well prepared, and beautifully presented. They are very service friendly, although a waitress for each table would be better. We had venison stew with pasta, which was to die for, and the pork belly was cooked to perfection. The barn has been very stylishly renovated, and the atmosphere was buzzing last night.

We have eaten there twice now, and each time we have had an exceptional evening. The food is of a very high standard, and the members of staff are very warm and welcoming. The Red Barn also provides a very warm and homely atmosphere. We also liked the way the restaurant was decorated, but I think the best thing for us was that children are not allowed to run around, and make loads of noise. That was a breath of fresh air. We are thinking of spending Christmas, and maybe New Year there. That’s what a mark it has made on us.
