We just had lunch at the Paris House for the first time today. It was a special occasion as my little sister turned thirty. We had a wonderful time and the food was superb. I ate from the set lunch menu, which I thought was of great value at £25 including coffee and petit fours and had plenty of choice. I had smoked salmon and sea bass but did wonder if I should have had the pork belly which looked very good. Plus, I had to have the chocolate truffle cake, if only to be polite. However, my theory that chocolate is always the best option may not have worked in this case, as mom had the soufflé which looked amazing. The restaurant is in a simply stunning spot but, it was also really busy for a Thursday lunchtime which created a nice atmosphere. Plus, my three month old niece came too and the staff couldn't have been kinder. There was no awkwardness and they even offered to hold the baby. Five stars from me and we'll definitely be going there again.

We have dined at Paris House many times over the last twenty years. The location is stunning and we have greatly enjoyed the food and the service. Until Peter Chandler sadly passed away, we also enjoyed his 'entertaining' dining room visits. The present young chefs trained by him are doing a brilliant job and deserve support. We wish them every success for the future.

I have eaten at Paris House many times over the past fifteen years and have never been disappointed. The beautiful surroundings of the restaurant were only matched by the quality and presentation of the food. Whether you were part of a large group or having a meal for two, the quality never varied. The staff were very welcoming and made you feel that they were pleased to serve you. It is so sad to hear about the death of Peter Chandler, a very gifted man. I went to many of his lunchtime cookery demonstrations. These were excellent and were always followed by an exceptional meal. Rest in peace Peter; and may Paris House continue to be a credit to you.

Having eaten at Paris House on many occasions I am always amazed that the quality of food and service are never compromised and consistency is beyond expectation. Many restaurants of this standard are often stuffy and uncomfortable - not so at Paris House. The idyllic surroundings, the warm welcome and the delicious, varied and imaginative menu and wine lists are always a treat to be looked forward to.

I have taken people there twice in the last month for their excellent value set lunch. Though choices are limited on the set menu, we all found something we enjoyed and the service was attentive and unobtrusive. Portions were generous and the flair with which the menu is pulled together and the food created was superb.
The setting is glorious and chef Peter Chandler came out to check we were happy at the end of one of our second visit. He is great fun and very creative. We shall be returning to check out their sumptuous looking a la carte menu. Well worth a visit especially if you are trying to impress business clients.

You could not wish for more idyllic surroundings, a more welcoming atmosphere or more wonderful food. A good choice for a special evening, or great value for a gorgeous lunch.

The restaurant is in a beautiful position in parkland and the relatively small dining room has an intimate and welcoming feel. The service is discreet and friendly. The food is enjoyable, and the ingredients well sourced, but the construction of dishes is stuck in a time warp. One almost expected a prawn cocktail to arrive. It was probably considered top notch ten or fifteen years but when one considers the standards of crafting and innovation in dishes nowadays this place just not stack up in terms of what one gets for an outrageous amount of money. Despite all that we had a lovely, relaxed evening.
