Wonderful! This restaurant has a gloriously intimate feel to it, and the staff including the chef were extremely welcoming and attentive throughout. My table overlooked the river, which was a very pleasant view. The overall decor is slick and classy, whilst still maintaining a traditional feel. The food is absolutely the finest in Inverness that I have tasted and is well worth a trip to the city just to try. The bottom line is I'll be back, again and again. Thank you River House!

My family came to Inverness to visit me and we had the best meal ever at Riverhouse. We had salmon and steak and so many more, we tried from every plate and it was delicious! The puddings were also very nice and the service was very nice and helpful which is very important to me.

I had quite the most superb meal at the River House recently, and it's a true gem which more people need to know about! The restaurant itself is very cosy and inviting, plus my table had a magnificent view out over the River Ness, which most certainly heightened my dining experience. The staff were pleasant and efficient, and the chef himself, Allan Little, personally came to my table to greet me, and that's proper service! As for the food, well all I can say is ‘outstanding’! The monkfish in parma ham was, quite singularly, the finest I've ever tasted, and I am somewhat passionate when it comes to seafood. I enjoyed a very pleasant Rose and was invited to sample one of the River House's impressive range of malt whiskies by Mr Little in person. I was not disappointed. For my dessert, I elected to keep it simple and traditional in the form of a majestic bread & butter pudding. The chef even made up some fresh custard for me specially, fussy creature that I am.
A perfect dining evening was rounded off with a hearty cheese board, including my personal favourite from the Isle of Gigha - much to my pleasant surprise I have to say. There is no doubt in my mind that I will return. So to summarise, the River House is the jewel in the crown of Inverness' dining establishment, and I would encourage everyone to sample its fare without hesitation. Thank you!

My partner and I had the most fantastic night out this weekend. We ate at The Riverhouse restaurant. The friendly and cosy atmosphere was brilliant and watching the chef at work was wonderful. We both love seafood and we were told this restaurant was the best in Inverness. Our informant was not wrong, the scallops were to die for and the cod with crab was so simple, yet so good. We wish we lived closer but we will return.

My partner and I dined at the Riverhouse this evening and, like the folk before me, I'm happy to give it a glowing review. The ambiance was just right; the service was great and the food was excellent. A big thumbs-up!

What a great place - discovered by chance! I would highly recommend this place for their lovely ambience, super staff, great food and service. A relaxed, cosy and friendly environment, which is ideal for either a quick lunch or a romantic dinner.

I dined with five friends recently and we enjoyed our meal. This place is compact with a cosy atmosphere and we will definitely return.
