I visited for lunch last week and thought the food was divine and beautifully presented. The broccoli and crab meat green curry soup was to die for, as was the main course. Fantastic place, location and service - can't recommend it highly enough.

What an excellent place! We stayed in Dunfermline and were looking to find a good fish restaurant and on finding this place on the internet, I made a booking for the night. Starters of scallops and prawns were excellent and we were eclipsed by the sea bass and sticky toffee pudding. We had a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, which was very good and I just can't praise it enough, I wish we stayed longer for another one. I recommend this place.

This restaurant, in a beautiful setting beside the water with distant views of Edinburgh Castle and Arthur’s Seat, offers food of an extremely high standard, and the fish is divine. The combination of flavours really is original and brilliant. The staff are relaxed yet attentive. I’ve been there twice and will go again.

We went to this restaurant as recommended by a friend. At this time of year, it is never easy to find a restaurant that doesn't have a Christmas bash with poor food churned out and every year this is a problem for my sister's birthday.

Room with a View was perfect - a delightful festive menu with a twist, and no turkey or crackers in site. The swordfish and venison tower with cranberry jus, drizzled with chocolate was a delight.

My party of eight all said it was one of the best dinners they have had, not just at this time of year!

We were a party of twelve people from Norway who had been to this wonderful restaurant. The view was amazing. and the fish we were served was breathtaking. All the different dishes were exquisite, from the starters, to the dessert. If (when) we go back to Scotland that would be a natural place to come back to.

The owners and staff were service minded, and also with a good sense of humour.

The views from over the forth were beautiful, and the restaurant had a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. The food was wonderful. I had prawn cocktail, which was simple but very tasty followed the sea bass and that was mouthwateringly perfect. My other half had scallops and monkfish to start, that he assured me it was delicious but was gone before I got to try any, followed by halibut, also cooked to perfection. I have no hesitation recommending the restaurant and think myself lucky and it’s so close to home.

I have just been to this restaurant for the first time. After you get over the initial shock of negotiating the steep narrow road leading to the Hotel you are certainly in for a fantastic surprise! The Hotel is situated practically on the beach itself and you get lost in yourself watching the water rolling into the bay. The food is absolutely superb. If you want to enjoy the freshest of seafood, this is your place. For a starter I chose the scallops and they were the largest scallops I have ever been served and they were perfectly cooked in an exquisite chilli and lime sauce. For the main course I was served halibut with home make chunky chips and mange tout. I would thoroughly recommend this seafood restaurant.
