San Carlo - Manchester Reviews

I've been to San Carlo's several times now and I’m never disappointed. I've taken different friends there over the past twelve months or so and all have been seriously impressed. The food is very fresh and is to a really high standard, the staff are so attentive that there is a welcoming, relaxing, yet buzzing ambience and the prices are only slightly more than average. To top it off, I've somehow managed to book in twice when there have been premiership players in and my companions have been mega impressed footie fans! I'm now trying to persuade my colleagues that we should go there instead of a traditional Christmas party, either way, I'll be back.

I have dined twice at San Carlo's and cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant - beautiful food and service is second to none. The atmosphere is always buzzing, whether you go in the daytime or evening. It's not inexpensive but also not ridiculous. The prices of side vegetables are a little steep but wow, how gorgeous! We will go every time we visit Manchester for sure.

For excellent location, ambience, food and service, San Carlo is the place to go. I have been there four times now with family and friends and each time it has been a great experience.

Great atmosphere, great service and fantastic food. If you are a seafood fan then you must try this restaurant. I have been there several times and have never had a problem with the service or the bill. It's not the cheapest but definitely the best.

We booked a table for two at San Carlo on a Friday night. Despite being very busy, the service was attentive and friendly and the food was excellent. However, having read a few reviews online I carefully checked the bill. There were four to five items on the bill we did not order. They did not seem surprised with this, went away and brought back the correct bill, minus £45. I would recommend this restaurant, but make sure you check the bill carefully.

Six of us dined at San Carlo on Friday. The food was good but tends to go cold very quickly. Having booked a table by phone, on arrival they denied all knowledge of the booking, but were able to seat us. After waiting for thirty minutes they took our food order, but had not asked us about the drinks. The service was slow and indifferent. We also had a mix up with our bill and we were overcharged. On pointing out, it was corrected.

I'm a food lover and very passionate about food, ingredients and quality. This is the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to in England. The food is marvellous, service is fantastic and the environment is just so inviting.

I have come across this restaurant before and I’m waiting to show it off to my lawyer who is coming over from Copenhagen and is a big fan of Italian food. I’m waiting to take him there this Sunday and treat him to the best Italian food around.

I sampled the delights of San Carlo for the first time over the festive period after it being recommended by a colleague. It was very busy, but the food was served quickly, and with such friendly service. The food was delicious - everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their meals, with a few people managing to squeeze in a tasty dessert! I definitely recommend San Carlo - it was a perfect setting for a delightful evening

I have been eating in San Carlo - Birmingham, Manchester, Leicester and Bristol. You might say I am a serial San Carlo supporter, but I appreciate good food whether it’s Gordon Ramsay or Aldo Zilli. San Carlo is my particular favourite, and a very close run thing with Gordon Ramsay, who is my twin soul mate. When my Italian directors from Como visit the UK, the first message I normally receive is - Dino don’t forget to book San Carlo - I started going when Birmingham first opened and have been there on a regular basis, more so Manchester and Birmingham. I have recommended so many various, business clients and family friends. I should have shares in San Carlo. Seriously though, Carlo has hit on a fantastic formula which works - quality of food, ambience, service, décor, veramente buonissimo.
