We ate with friends at The Wharf on a lovely sunny summer evening and with the sun going down, the views over the Thames were breathtaking. The food was just as impressive. We chose from the River dinner menu and I had a deliciously tender chicken and my husband had the barramundi which was really moist and both were served with plenty of vegetables. Our friend's chose the risotto which was light and creamy. In fact we were all so impressed with the meal, we had a dessert as well. The wine list was excellent and the service was impressive. All in all a wonderful evening in beautiful surroundings.

This restaurant is a real find. I loved the atmosphere, the food was delicious and the service was attentive. I would recommend the set menu, which was extremely good value at two courses for £16. I had the dukkah crusted loin of cod, which was divine. I will return for more.

I love this restaurant, its one of my favourites. It has the feel of a central London venue except it’s in Teddington, on the river. I have always experienced good service at The Wharf, not intrusive and befitting the venue. With regards to the food, I particularly enjoyed the steak, and would recommend this. The 'tasting plate' with the bread and butter pudding was excellent. I will definitely be going back for more.

The setting is very good - right on the river - and the dining room is spacious and modern, a change from restaurants converted from little shops. The service was very good, and the waiters that interacted with the customers never had to be told twice. We had the set menu, which was a little limited but that's a set menu. The Teryaki salmon is my recommendation for a starter. The chicken main course was a little bland. But the tuna was very good. They ran out of brûlée for pudding but it was Wednesday and busy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the restaurant. It’s Ideal for a special occasion.

Great location, excellent idea, shocking execution. We booked three days beforehand but on turning up we were told we could have our table in the conservatory if we were out by nine. In the end we were put upstairs where there was no atmosphere. The service was pretty terrible, rushed and at times obtrusive (the waiter hid behind a column waiting for us to finish).

I've never seen so many waiting staff and managers and yet such shoddy service. the food is fairly uninspiring, so much so I ended up having the burger which could have been straight from McDonalds, this came with 'relish' which was basically ketchup with some chopped onion and carrot in it. My dessert of strawberry cheesecake was actually a sickly mousse and reminded me of angel delight.

Also on a number of occasions the lights dipped and the temperature changed, when we were in the bar waiting for our taxi I spotted the head chef coming out of the kitchen and adjusting these again. He obviously has serious control issues.

I would consider going again for lunch, if I was sat in the conservatory on a sunny afternoon with a view of the lock as the location is spectacular, but I doubt I’ll ever be back for dinner.

Absolutely hated this restaurant.... Awful service...so bad we walked out.

The owner did not even apologize, he seemed otherwise engaged with the ladies at the bar!!!

What a restaurant! This is an impressive building on the riverside, which offers beautiful views of the Teddington Lock. We had a really nice risotto and a brandade of cod, delicious! And the service...simply efficient! We had a wonderful time and will go back soon.
