We, a party of four, went to the White Hart on spec for an evening meal and although we did not want a big meal, we mostly had a main course and coffee, with just one having a sweet, all the dishes were well presented, fresh and tasty. Service was good and friendly too. We had a very pleasant evening and came away well satisfied.

The new version of the White Hart is a great improvement on its previous manifestation as part of a large chain of pubs serving indifferent food. I visited as one of a party of four on a Sunday evening: the place was packed with groups of all ages. Maybe the sunny evening had brought people out of town, but when the food arrived we could see why it was so popular. Goujons of sole were crispy and generous; a good-sized fillet of perfectly cooked sea bass came with an interesting selection of roast vegetables, including sweet potato; spit roast chicken with lemon and thyme was delicious; and a classic burger simple and tasty. I would have certainly tried their interesting range of puddings, if I had sufficient room for them, especially the raspberry and champagne jelly. The service was attentive and friendly and the dining area in which we sat was light and airy. Well worth another visit - we had avoided the place for some years because of disappointment under the previous regime, but will not do so in future.

The White Hart is a gem of a restaurant-pub which I am delighted about as I am a resident and bob in for my tea frequently. When the pub had previous landlords-managers, the food was very average, but now Richard and his crew are yet to disappoint, and I have been very satisfied for the last 3 years. The food tastes delicious and there's a good selection of drinks to choose from. The service is very good as well. As I write this review though, I am thinking I will only encourage more people to visit, which may make it too busy and I may not get a seat next time. Highly recommended and I hope you enjoy the experience as much as I do.

It’s a good few years since I was last at the White Hart and it has certainly changed. The décor and ambience are welcoming and the members of staff really look interested in their job - and very smart. We had the added benefit of eating outside in the sunshine - which of course always helps. The food was excellent - we ate from the 'prixe fixe' menu - excellent value. The food was very good and very well presented - especially the desserts. I'm not one for writing reviews of places to eat, but I really felt the White Hart deserved a mention. I would certainly recommend it to anyone.

I’ve visited the White Hart many times and the reason for this is because it’s excellent. I really enjoyed the meal and atmosphere. The food was superb and the members of staff were friendly and attentive. Everything seems well priced and will definitely be going in the future.

Stopped for a bite to eat, found the food and staff excellent. Will return again when in the area.

Who would have thought that all the way out there you could find such a great place to eat? The fantastic surrounding, polite and attentive staff, great food and wine at a reasonable price make this place worth trying.

We stayed in Bramhope for a couple of days and met some friends who took us to the White Hart for dinner. We normally don't dine outside and were really surprised at the standard of furnishings and food - great atmosphere and the best fillet steak I have ever had. The service was very good and polite. We are returning next week and will definitely try this place again.

I live in Pool and eat out regularly, both locally and in the city centre. However we always come back to the Hart, the food is delicious and the pub is lovely, both in terms of the atmosphere and interior decor. The staff are acceptable and the wait for the food is minimal. I always recommend that eatery to work colleagues and everyone who eats there enjoys it as much as we do. If you are deciding where to eat in this vicinity then do not go to the Wharfedale, pay the extra few quid and eat at the Hart it is well worth.

I dined there on Saturday with three other people, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, the food was excellent. We had scallops /soup starters, fish of the day, fillet steak, Greek salad, main courses, nothing on the sweet menu that we particularly liked, but we aren't great sweet eaters anyway. The only down side was the terrible fritz (very thin tasteless chips) they served with the steak. We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening and are planning to go back with more friends in the very near future.
