ASK - Newbury

For some time I made the mistake of thinking that no group of restaurants in the region of 200 locations could hope to maintain the quality for which I was looking. Crab at Chieveley, The

One is left in little doubt from the moment of arrival that at The Crab seafood rules. Just make sure you don't trip over the lobster pots as you walk from the car park. In an age when no self-respecting restaurant regards itself as being unable to field fresh fish every day, however far it may be from the briny, there is a daily delivery from Brixham to the Crab that results in a menu of undoubted and welcome bias.
