Osborne's Cafe and Grill
Osborne House, Promenade, 17 North Parade, Llandudno, LL30 2LP [Map]
The beautifully romantic Osborne's Café and Grill is a stunning dining room in the high Victorian style with fluted pillars that soar past the black walls and lace curtains. The crystal chandeliers and candlelit setting soften the ambience to one of genteel elegance, while the period fireplace brings warmth. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal and is also considered one of the most romantic settings in the vicinity.
The restaurant serves diverse modern brasserie classics and is perfect whether one wants to have a light or a hearty meal. The menu which changes seasonally offers a whole spectrum, from the humble fish and chips served Osborne style, to the elegant Covey valley lamb shank served with ratatouille and basil.

Carlo's Restaurant
2 Pleasant Street, Craig-Y-Don, Llandudno, LL30 1LJ [Map]
In the seaside resort town of Llandudno, Carlo's Restaurant provides delicious Italian cuisine to visitors and residents, and has created a warm niche for itself as an eatery that caters to those who love traditional cuisine with modern outlook. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, dark wooden floors, chocolate brown leather chairs and the general sense of bonhomie that is so often found in Italian restaurants. Although they are only about a year old in Craig Y Don, they're well experienced in the ways of hospitality and the culinary arts.
A meal could begin with deep fried baby squid served with a garlic dip or maybe prawns and Marie Rose served with avocado. Move on to spaghetti marinara if you are a seafood aficionado or a traditional risotto with diced fillet steak. Other tasty options could include vitello marsala or fillet steak simmered in Amarone wine sauce. Finish with a mascarpone trifle. The predominantly Italian wine list offers a variety of eclectic choices.

The Dining Room at Bodysgallen Hall Hotel
Llandudno, Llandudno, LL30 1RS [Map]
Looking out serenely over the town below, Bodysgallen has a majesty all its own. Surrounded by immaculately manicured gardens the handsome house offers a degree of comfort and reassurance, which leads to expectations in the dining room that are well met, especially since the talented Gareth Jones took over as Head Chef, bringing a wealth of experience that earned him such an excellent reputation previously at Sol in Shrewsbury.
As in so many restaurants in Wales local materials are well used. Dishes such as Welsh black beef fillet served with horseradish puree, a wild mushroom pancake and morel sauce or fillet of north coast turbot with crab and basil polenta and red pepper sauce speak amply of the degree of sophistication that is applied.
Fruit and vegetables grown in their own award winning garden are used throughout the year in dishes that Chef Gareth Jones has created, together with herbs cut from their 18th Century Parterre Knot garden. The wine list is a bit breathtaking but there are good choices and house wines start at £14.50, or £3.50 a glass.
It was has been awarded 3 AA Rosettes, and nominated as "Wales Commended" by the Good Food Guide.
