This 18th century inn in the heart of Ruthin formerly served as a popular stopping off place for drovers on their way from Holyhead to Shropshire. Nowadays it is more likely the good folk of Shropshire dropping in for a meal in the seven day a week restaurant where a good variety of tasty dishes ranging from chateaubriand to breast of chicken stuffed with herbed cream cheese, followed by some pretty arresting desserts.
