Blue Ball Restaurant, The

The Blue Ball has an eclectic mix of customers, naturally it is very family orientated in the summer but it also appeals to the young trendy professionals, who visit all year round. The restaurant is open all year, apart from the first two weeks of January.

  • Address: Upper Frog Street, Tenby, SA70 7JD (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): European, Modern British, Seafood
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: N/A, Dinner: £32.00

Boat Inn, The

There is something very appealing about an inn by the river, particularly one as romantic and well-found as the 16th century Boat at Erbistock, on the banks of the River Dee. Historically important as a ferry crossing, the landing stage and windlass used to power it are still in position.

  • Address: Erbistock, Wrexham, LL13 0DL (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): Gastropub
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: N/A, Dinner: £29.00

Bodysgallen Hall & Spa

Looking out serenely over the town below, Bodysgallen has a majesty all its own. Surrounded by immaculately manicured gardens the handsome house offers a degree of comfort and reassurance, which leads to expectations in the dining room that are well met, especially since the talented Gareth Jones took over as Head Chef, bringing a wealth of experience that earned him such an excellent reputation previously at Sol in Shrewsbury.

  • Address: Llandudno, LL30 1RS (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): Modern British
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: £27.00, Dinner: £48.00

Braseria, La

Do not go here if you are seeking a cosy a deux. If, however, you have the family and their families' families with you this is the place. It stops short of being conveyor belt but there is nonetheless a feeling closely bordering on over-organisation.

  • Address: 28 Wind Street, Swansea, SA1 1DZ (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): Spanish
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: £16.00, Dinner: £39.00

Brasserie, La

A pleasantly earthy establishment, though it's sawdust, not earth that you'll find scattered on the floor, a feature which seems to have miraculously escaped the provisions of nanny legislation that currently afflict us.

  • Address: 60 St Mary Street, Cardiff, CF10 1FE (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): Bistro, Fish & Chip, French
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: £16.00, Dinner: £32.00

Bricklayers Arms

A 13th century drover's inn full of ancient charm and character, and done out in warm reds and oranges. In an upstairs dining room unusual and extremely tasty food is served to an increasingly appreciative clientele.

  • Address: Chirbury Road, Montgomery, SY15 6QQ (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): Modern British
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: N/A, Dinner: £33.00

Brookes Restaurant

  • Cuisine(s): International, Modern, Welsh
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: £22.00, Dinner: £35.00

Buffs

A busy establishment down amongst the docks, owing something to the wine bar ethos but with restaurant aspirations. This is reflected in the variations of the menu and the time of day, with the wine bar emerging strongly at lunchtime, when the very mobile blackboards are in full swing offering such dishes as a tangy mackerel pate or salt beef with will dill pickles.

  • Address: 8 Mount Stuart Square, Cardiff, CF10 5EE (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): Bar, Café
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: N/A, Dinner: £27.00

Bwyty Dylanwad Da Restaurant

A splendid little bistro in the Snowdonia National Park, specialising in down to earth, carefully prepared dishes, which are a delight. For an out of town bistro the scope is wide and includes such offerings as lamb casseroled in Burgundian style and a Thai fish stew made with mussels and coconut milk.

  • Address: 2 Ffos-y-Felin, Dolgellau, LL40 1BS (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): Bistro, International
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: N/A, Dinner: £35.00

Cader Restaurant

The Minffordd Hotel in Talyllyn Valley, Mid Wales is set in some of the most breathtaking scenery in Britain, it is situated at the base of the Cader Idris with the summit being one and a half miles North West of the hotel.
