The 16th century Victory Inn, is a former fisherman's haunt located on The Victory Steps next to St Mawes harbour, Cornwall. The Victory Inn is a cosy pub with a real log fire and separate restaurant with harbour views; and, if you'd like to stay, they have a beautifully furnished ensuite bedroom. It is under the same ownership as The Roseland Inn.

If you're anywhere near Falmouth or Truro you can reach the Victory by road via the King Harry Ferry at Feock, or take a ride through the unspoilt countryside of the Roseland. Or you can catch a ferry to St Mawes from either Falmouth or St Anthony Head.

The pub offers a wide selection of freshly cooked food, which uses local and organic ingredients wherever possible. Specialising in serving good food in a warm friendly relaxed atmosphere, in recent years The Victory Inn has won The Seafood Pub of the Year in 2001 and the prestigious 'AA Best Seafood Pub in the West Country 2002'.

As well as their much talked about food, they also have a fine selection of drinks including wine from around the world and real ale, of which the locally brewed Sharp's Doom Bar is a firm favourite.

Relaxed informal setting overlooking St Mawes harbour and St. Anthony's lighthouse. Carefully prepared food from local ingredients with a bias towards seafood.

In the safe hands of Olga Polizzi this much-loved hotel has prospered. The wood-panelled dining room looks out to sea and you are in the right mood from the start. On an adjacent terrace, lunch and dinners by candlelight may be enjoyed on the right day.

Paul Wadham combines the best local produce to achieve simple and elegant dishes, where he pays respect both to the English tradition and to the Mediterranean feel of the hotel.

A highly imaginative wine list, with a good selection of wines by the glass, also has House Italian reds and whites at £14.00.
