Under the ownership of Graham and Sue Levick, the former Inn has become a thriving community pub as well as being one of the better places to eat at in the area.

Both Sue and Graham are very well known in the area, Sue had oreviously held Head Chef positions at Clovelly Golf Club, Orford Lodge and the prestigious Woodford Bridge Country Club, while Graham has run several of his own companies in the area as well as being in partnership with Sue at The Royal Oak in the same village.

Sue specialises in local food, sourced locally, much of it coming within a few miles of the village, she also makes her own bread daily, while most of the real ales are local and are also brewed within a few miles of the village.

The Pub is now being recognised nationally with entries in the 2006 Good Beer Guide and the 2007 AA Good Pub Guide.
