Originally built to cater for the masons building, the country pub provides an informal, friendly and convivial atmosphere to enjoy good food, great wines and excellent beers. Apart from a traditional restaurant, a well stocked bar and a conservatory, guests could choose to dine al fresco in the large beer garden or the patio area.

With freshness and quality high on priority, Church House Inn sources the best of local produce to create established pub favourites like fish and chips and homemade kidney pies as well as contemporary variations of steak and seafood such as tempura prawns with Thai dressed salad. The specials' board may include the likes of game casserole with a pastry lid, chicken breast with a forest mushroom sauce or salmon and cod bake with an herb crust.

Using local fresh fish, seafood and reared meats, The Cricket Inn offers guests traditional comfort fare as well as more gourmet dishes. This can include smoked mackerel pâté, pan seared scallops with Parma ham, whole plaice with beurre noisette, Devonshire sirloin and Barbary duck breast as well as beer battered cod with chips and fish pie topped with mashed potato and cheese. Pan fried John Dory fillets with saffron beurre blanc, local mussels cooked with chorizo, coriander and tomato and the seafood pancake, filled with a medley of fish and shellfish in a light white sauce, offer more food for thought. A variety of local ales and good wines bring on the mellow mood.
