Happily the extensive gardens have survived all the unpleasant things that can happen to gardens and on balmy summer evenings guests can wander at their will. The Queens Arms is an 18th century pub located in the centre of the village and visitors are enthralled by its simply furnished yet comfortable décor, delicious food and luxurious bedrooms. Starters at this pub could include oven roasted black pudding and autumn fruits served in the pan or whisky marinated smoky salmon with pickled silver skins. The slow roasted shoulder of lamb, fondant potato and parsnip with cauliflower puree makes a delectable main course. The Somerset apple pie with cream wraps up the meal and the drinks consist of an exciting range of tapped and bottled beers along with a well chosen and imaginative wine list.
