Boars Head, The

This beautiful 16th century grade II listed inn is located in the picturesque village of Aust just a mile from the old Severn Bridge (M48, J1) and only fifteen minutes from the centre of Bristol.

  • Cuisine(s): Modern British, Gastropub, Gourmet
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: £16.00, Dinner: £26.00

Bocanova

Bocanova instils a lively nudge of South America into the life of Bristol, and chef/proprietor Humberto Benevenuto is not averse to a quick touch of Mediterranean influence infiltrating his pots. The result is a lively blend producing starters such as cream of black beans and flat parsley, garnished with crispy pancetta cream and crostinis, or chicken liver and brandy parfait with a mango salsa, marinated olives, fennel and olives with yoghurt dressing.

  • Address: 90 Colstan Street, Bristol, BS1 5BB (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): Mediterranean, South American
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: N/A, Dinner: £43.00

Bordeaux Quay

Without being over-dramatic it is probably fair to say that what is happening at this quay, where barrels of Claret and Sauternes used to be unloaded after their journey from the vineyards of Aquitaine, is one of the most exciting developments in our attitude towards the food and drink we consume.

  • Address: V-Shed Canons Way, Bristol, BS1 5UH (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): Modern European
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: N/A, Dinner: £38.00

Boston Tea Party

If you are looking for a café that is different, this is the place for you. Arguably the best cuppa in town, you may have to fall over the odd recuperating student to find a seat, but for good choice, well-brewed and in reasonably quiet surroundings Boston Tea Party takes some beating.

  • Address: 75 Park Street, Bristol, BS1 5PF (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): British
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: N/A, Dinner: £20.00

Brazz - Taunton brings you brasserie eating at its best; their aim is to provide good food and drink at popular prices to a wide audience. The feel is bright and modern yet elegant, buzzy and stylish - with its trademark fish tank, walls adorned with hand-painted Italian ceramics and specially commissioned art by local artists.

Brown and Forrest

Brown and Forrest is in a converted cider barn and a very good conversion it makes. The smokery part of the operation continues, and it would be a hard man who did not fall to the charms of the smoked eels, exposed over a smoking bed of beech and apple wood, with a rich, indulgent taste.

  • Address: Bowdens Farm, Hambridge, nr Langport, TA10 0BP (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): Modern
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: N/A, Dinner: £22.00

Browns Bar & Brasserie - Bath

The first Browns opened at Brighton in 1973 with one simple guiding belief, that classic food, well delivered in a stylish environment would be a recipe for success. The only thing that has changed since then is the number of Browns, now running at fourteen, of which six are in London, all prospering with the same theme.

  • Address: Old Police Station, Orange Grove, Bath, BA1 1LP (Map)
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: N/A, Dinner: £32.00
