Howard's House

Built for Augustus Hayter 1623 this rather extraordinary house has changed so little over the centuries, the biggest being when it went through its "Swiss period" in the mid 19th century. Properly called Teffont Evias, it is a real piece of old England.

Hox Brasserie

It would be tempting, though irrational, to think that the cathedral city of Salisbury might not have its fair selection of Indian restaurants. In fact it does but Hox Brasserie gives an entirely new slant on Indian cuisine with an emphasis on dishes from Southern India, considered by many connoisseurs to be the best, with their delicate approach to the use of spices and magnificently prepared dishes that bring a new look to the presentation of Indian food.

Jesmonds of Highworth

This handsome house strikes quite a chord when you first approach, with its handsome classical frontage and large portico that at least leaves no shadow of doubt where the front door is located. Inside all is calm and colour schemes that would delight to bits the average National Trust curator are the order of the day.
