Its popularity having been established in other locations in London, Ukai extends its traditional Japanese cuisine menu into the heart of London's Theatreland. Located on Poland Street, it offers guests an elegant contemporary ambience to unwind in just a 6-minute walk from Oxford Circus tube station.

With a sushi menu prepared from fresh sustainably caught fish, the dishes on offer include salmon sashimi served with daikon hair, ginger and wasabi; and tuna nigiri on a small bed of sushi rice with ginger and wasabi. There are also futomaki and uramaki sushi rolls with a range of fillings including tuna, enoki mushroom and crab meat. House specialities include Japanese pancake with cucumber, chives, inari and hoi sin sauce; salmon tartar in chilli wasabi and mayonnaise served in cucumber cups with tobiko; and inari sushi which consists of seasoned tofu pouches of rice with sesame, ginger and chives. The extensive menu also features mixed platters to share, salads, miso soups and side dishes. Round off with warm chocolate brownie or green tea and vanilla pannacotta.

The drinks menu allows diners to refresh their palate with a variety of traditional teas, cocktails, wines, sake or soft drinks.
