Urban Pind

18 Candleriggs, Merchant City, Glasgow, G1 1LD

Urban Pind Restaurant offers a traditional dining experience capturing glimpses of Punjab within the hustle bustle of 'urban' Glasgow. Located in the Merchant City, the venue presents dishes amidst beautiful surroundings. Start with mini balloons of fried dough stuffed with a cucumber salad filling, served with tangy tamarind sauce and finely minced lamb or vegetable mixed with onions, herbs, Punjabi spices wrapped in a light pastry. If you are adventurous, then you could try quail marinated in yogurt and freshly ground spices and delicately grilled in a clay oven and finely minced chicken mixed with onions, herbs and Punjabi spices. For main course consider chicken tehwali biryani, home style layered basmati rice with chicken chunks and king prawns marinated in lemon sauce and assortment of tandoori spices.

REVIEWS OF Urban Pind

Maureen (6 January 2011)

My friend and I have been to Urban Pind many times and each time is better than the last, lunch is only £5.99, you can hardly get a sandwich and coffee for that nowadays. It has excellent value. The menu is very tasty. The staff are very pleasant, well mannered and attentive. The restaurant is lovely and spotlessly clean - a winner every time! We have been to nearly every curry shop in Glasgow - so we know a good Indian restaurant and believe me, this is top class.

Brian Allan (28 December 2010)

I have been eating in here for the last year and have yet to experience a bad evening or meal. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and I have recommended this restaurant to many of my friends. This is possibly one of the best restaurants I have eaten in and I have been to many over the years.
