This long running bistro in Highwood has a loyal fan following ever since its doors were thrown open in 1980. With a décor that is constantly revamped, deep understanding of food and value, and friendly service, one does not have to think too hard as to what keeps the place going. Inside, the charming dining area is a showcase for artwork from Jacqueline Lefeuvre, wife of the chef-owner, which is also available for sale.

The kitchen's focus is on French cuisine and the regularly changing menu features hors d'oeuvres of leek tart, Roquefort cheese feuilleté, quiche Lorraine and skewers of bay scallops and bacon amongst others. Then a paupiette of chicken might appear filled with either a mousse of hickory smoked ham, cheese or fresh vegetables in a white wine, tarragon and mushroom cream sauce. A painter platter, an assortment of petit fours with different sauces might appeal at dessert time.
