A casual and informal eatery serving a range of tapas dishes, seafood, steaks and burgers, The Brasserie is located on Sanford Road, very near the Fairfield train station. Owned by restaurateur Patrick Jean, the bistro's casual and inviting ambience allows guests to relax while trying out the varied fare in the spacious dining area.

The menu changes constantly and is written on the big black board, offering a wide variety of dishes that range from tapas dishes of tuna sushi with sesame seeds served with teriyaki sauce, red bean salad with onions, or vegetable spring rolls to quick lunch dishes such as a steak sandwich with Swiss cheese. As well as tapas, the Brasserie's dinner menu offers hors d'oeuvres of fried calamari served with aioli and salsa sauce or Blue Point oysters while main courses can include Mediterranean influenced dishes such as Boeuf Bourguignon or Cassoulet.

Seaside Tavern is a fun and exciting place to visit with friends or family, where good food, great music and a host of engrossing games come under one roof to keep you enthralled. The atmosphere is informal and low key but the food is definitely some of the freshest, with seafood topping the menu. In its previous avatar as Jimmy's Seaside, it has been host to numerous live music performances and the Seaside Tavern continues to uphold the image.

In the offing is a raw bar, while summertime favorites such as fried clams, oysters and lobster rolls will also soon be available. Meanwhile, the eclectic menu features traditional tavern style dishes while also showcasing some specialty items such as clams casino flat bread, lobster bisque, seaside crab cakes, Buffalo style popcorn shrimp sandwich and sesame calamari salad with wasabi candied peanuts and ginger dressing.
