Freedom Café opened its doors in May 1999 and has progressed since then into a popular restaurant to gather with friends and family and enjoy Southern-Creole food in a peaceful environment. An unfussy and pleasant dining area has framed wall paintings well complimenting the deep red and russet coloured walls that create a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The kitchen places the emphasis on fresh and eclectic cooking and you could expect to see entrées such as chicken and sausage jambalaya, Cuban pork chops with rice and cranberry wine sauce and corn and crab shrimp chowder. There are some hard to resist desserts, all made at the café, and include the likes of white chocolate bread pudding with Bourbon sauce, strawberry cake and chocolate peanut butter pie.
