Warren's Lobster House

If you have a passion for lobsters and other forms of shellfish, then Warren's Lobster House in Kittery is right up your alley, with its vast range of lobster dishes as well as steaks, chicken and other specialities. Located on the southern tip of the Maine coast, this waterfront restaurant has remained a favorite with locals since 1940, and it continues the tradition in its casual and comfortable ambiance.

Lobsters are baked, boiled, sautéed and generally appear in a variety of forms and while you might not wish to try anything else, it's interesting to note that they have clam chowder, shrimp cocktail and stuffed clams amongst the appetizers. Entrees tend to linger more towards seafood and fish, although there are options for the serious carnivores who cannot conceptualize a meal without meat, hence the New York sirloin steak and beef tenderloin tips. Beers are the favored drink with a number of bottled as well as draft versions, which ensure that thirst never becomes a factor.

Jonathan's Restaurant

Back in 1976, Jonathan West purchased what was then his parent's home and turned it into a warm and friendly restaurant. The business has grown from a small one dining room bar and restaurant to one of the largest dining establishments in Maine. A contemporary lounge atmosphere, 600-gallon fish tank and lovely gardens encourage customers to relax and enjoy the experience of spending time there.

Jonathan's menu offers a combination of traditional and new dishes, all created from sustainable foods and local produce whenever possible. Start with homemade New England clam chowder and baked artichoke hearts and cheddar cream, move on to caramelised salmon fillet, delicious lobster ravioli or grilled rib eye before signing off with chocolate mousse. Wines are available by the glass.

Live music concerts are hosted on a regular basis and the restaurant has entertained guests for over ten years. Several different wedding packages ensure needs are met well.
