Owner and chef, Jeffrey Fournier is no less than an artist; not only does his creativity take form in the kitchen but also on the canvas. His restaurant, 51 Lincoln displays his talent, and prompts the average observer to think beyond the visuals of the world around us. The dining area, that can be doubled as an art gallery is comprised of hard cherry wood tables, banquettes and booths and Victorian windows framing woodcut prints.
The menu, also a part of the colourful exhibits in the interior, is a fine example of the practical approach to cost, and centres on locally sourced organic produce. Expect to see the likes of pan seared watermelon steak with eggplant chicharonne, arepa and French feta cheese or miso marinated Atlantic salmon, sushi rice with stir fried spring vegetables on the carte. To close, think chocolate torte with peanut butter caramel or Madagascar vanilla bean crème brûlée.
