Vienna is a restaurant and historic inn situated midway to Maine from New York City, and is considered to be the only Austrian dining destination in Massachusetts. Owners Lisa and Jonathan Krach give customers a peek into the old times as well as dishes from Austria, Germany, Bavaria, Switzerland and France. Five comfortable ensuite bedrooms offer visitors the chance to spend a night there.

Intriguing artwork, antique pieces and steins adorn the rooms and hallways, Mozart, Strauss waltz and Austrian polka music fills the air, making the experience of being there both relaxing and entertaining.

The dining rooms, sunlit during the day and warmed by candle light in the evening offer appetizers of meat filled dumplings, homemade crab cakes and wine marinated herring. Mains encompass tafelspitz or slow cooked beef roast; the Austrian delicacy of wiener schnitzel; sautéed fresh rainbow trout, vegetarian ravioli, and Hungarian goulash of tender pork in a stew of root vegetables, potato and hot peppers.

The Inn can be reserved for special occasions such as retreats, dinners, weddings and anniversaries.
