Casual and quaint are two words that best describe the yellow café on Broadway on the west side of town. The owners' diverse cultural heritage reflects on the food that is on offer, blending in Costa Rican with Italian and the name Bella Vida, which literally translates 'beautiful life', just about sums up the ethos of this place.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast of Belgian or multigrain waffle or the Jeremiah twenty nine eleven omelet with spinach, tomato and feta cheese. At lunchtime it could be a happy thanksgiving wrap with oven roasted turkey breast, cranberry and coleslaw, or cheese steaks hot off the kahuna's grill. For dinner, the house favorite of zuppa di granchio - delicious creamy lump crab meat and tender asparagus in a cream base - is a good way to start. This could be followed by over roasted duck topped with island salsa, drizzled with balsamic reduction, or a homemade meatloaf.
