Named after Chef Giuseppe Staiano, Giuseppe Ristorante Italiano located in North Haledon promises light Italian fare that's full of flavour. After a long stint in the highly esteemed Cenzino Restaurant in Oakland, Staiano decided to strike out on his own and opened his now three year old 62 seater that has enjoyed the sustained patronage of a loyal following since day one. The décor is simple with only paintings adorning the creamy yellow walls, whilst the low ceilings and rich dark brown furnishing work alongside to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The pastas are available as half-orders, allowing you to eat in traditional Italian style beginning with pastas followed by a meat or fish main course. Try the potato gnocchi, beef carpaccio, home-made linguine sautéed with shrimp and pan fried crab cakes with mustard sauce. For dessert, the torta di ricotta is a real delight as is the affogato, for coffee lovers. Guiseppe is a standing testament to the fact that authentic, original cuisine makes all trimmings seem redundant.
