Christopher's A Neighborhood Place does just what its name says and it's no surprise to see this place teeming with the office and college-going crowd and families with children. The bare brick walls give it that original appeal and the zinc top bar with TVs is a good place to unwind, drink to hand.
On the food side choose from starters such as coriander crusted ahi tuna served rare with seaweed salad and Thai ginger sauce and grilled veggie quesadilla with Mexican cheeses, fire roasted salsa and sour cream. No family friendly restaurant can afford to be without its delectable range of pizzas and you could select a blackened chicken or the traditional version with red sauce and mozzarella cheese. Tried and tested entrées include barbecued pulled pork and sautéed cobia fish served over jumbo lump crabmeat risotto with balsamic glaze and fresh leeks.
Little diners have their own dedicated menu featuring a tiny salad, chicken fingers or salmon tails.

What was once Alberto's Authentic Italian Cuisine and Steakhouse has now been deftly transformed into a modish restaurant in Newtown square. The cheerful camaraderie of customers at the brick and terracotta wine cellar, the Tuscan gold schemed Sole Bar or the cushy dining area is a reassuring sight and reflects Newtown Grill's mounting popularity.
Who doesn't love to indulge in forkfuls of a sizzling hot rib eye imbued with the flavor of smoked sea salt and roast peppers, or the house favorite of sliced New York strip with caramelized onion and sharp Provolone sauce? The rest of the menu is entirely Italian starting with a palate stirring little neck clams with white wine garlic sauce, fettuccine Bolognese and chicken padella with fresh herbs, spinach and truffle mashed potatoes.
The bar menu features sliders of filet mignon, grilled veal meatballs and crab cakes with a lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce. Happy hours on weekdays and BYOB on Sunday for a la carte diners give you more good reasons to visit Newtown Grill.
