New World Tortilla
696 Pine Street, Burlington, 05401 [Map]
New World Tortilla is a hot favorite amongst the undergrads at the University of Vermont and there could be a couple of reasons for this. The most obvious is its location in the UVM Davis Centre, which means that they can drop by easily, while the other would be the very reasonable prices, a factor that has endeared it to most of the student community. Of course, their food is tasty and healthy prepared using only fresh local produce and this is the final clinching factor which makes Tortilla so undeniably popular.
Choose from large wraps filled with grilled Thai chicken over rice with ginger slaw, scallions and spicy peanut sauce wrapped in a spinach tortilla or black beans and cheese with mixed greens and jalapenos. There's also a delicious beef burrito, with seasoned meat, cheddar cheese, sour cream and fresh made salsa and other variations which make the process of choosing just one rather difficult.
