Ricardo's (Saint Louis)

This place, undoubtedly, serves the best seafood pasta in the city. The steaks are fist class all the way. The service is great, and the owner is always there if you need something. Drinks are served to perfection and bread, if not homemade, would surprise me.

Uncle Bear's Bar & Grill - Gilbert (Gilbert)

Uncle Bear's is a friendly neighborhood hangout that's perfect when you want to avoid the chains. Good food, good service, good prices and a casual, relaxed atmosphere that will remind you of your favorite hometown grill and bar. One of the best things about Uncle Bear's is that it's not a chain, but rather a locally-owned business with three locations in the valley. They don't crank the music up so loud that you have to shout to be heard across the table. They don't nickel and dime you with things like a fifty cent charge for extra blue cheese to go with your wings. The members of staff aren't bound by the restricting rules and you often see the owner at the place, playing host to his customers.

Their menu is traditional bar food - sliders, burgers, chicken wings and other similar fare. They have a great selection of beers on tap and by the bottle, and their margaritas are excellent as well. Enjoy karaoke or Texas Hold 'Em a few nights a week. We love to go to Uncle Bear's to hang out with friends and enjoy a casual dinner, or sometimes just to have a few beers. Maybe we'll see you there.

When Pigs Fly (Cumberland)

We stopped there while biking at the C&O canal, which is only a block off the trail. Icy cold beer, great sandwiches, and pleasant staff - our entire family was very happy with this find. There are lots of locals there with great stories and they have a great kids menu too.

When Pigs Fly (Cumberland)

I love this restaurant! The food is terrific and reasonably priced, and the members of staff are always pleasant and efficient. I always make it a point to have lunch or dinner there every time I am in the area. I've even told my friends about it; they have visited and have become regulars there.

Bombay Mahal (Brunswick)

The most amazing Indian food I've ever had in my life. My husband and I have been eating Indian food ever since we went on our honeymoon 32 years ago in India. Since then, we have tried hundreds of Indian restaurants around the world, however Bombay Mahal in Brunswick, Maine, is by far the most divine and delicious Indian food we have had. Everything is made fresh and to your liking, and the ever so friendly staff and owners take care of you the minute you are seated. For great Indian food try Bombay Mahal in Brunswick, Maine, and you will keep coming back like we do.

SoBe Seafood (Arlington)

I love this restaurant! The food is great and the service matches it. The menu is varied and the drinks list is also great. Desserts are astounding and the atmosphere is just right, perfect for a romantic evening out with a loved one, or just to get some great food. I recommend this place and you will love it.

Zooma Bar Ristorante (Providence)

We have dined there many times and it is one of the best Italian restaurants I've eaten at, including Italy. The pasta is homemade and always al dente, the salads, fish and meats are locally sourced and usually exquisite, and they make extensive use of their wood oven - we had oven roasted peaches last summer, which tasted fantastic. The dining room can be a bit noisy on a Saturday night but eating at the chef's bar is a great experience. If you're into flowers go there during summer, the front of the restaurant looks amazing. They grow heirloom tomatoes on the roof in summer as well and make fantastic dishes with them. The desserts are okay, except for the roasted fruit, but everything else including service, atmosphere, free valet etc. make it one of the best. It's definitely worth a trip.
