Applebee's - Dover (Dover)
Applebee's in Dover is amazing. It's by far my favourite restaurant. The service is excellent. Whenever you need anything, it's always brought to you. The food is always exactly as ordered and the staff are kind. I completely recommend it.
Numero Uno Pizza - Simi Valley (Simi Valley)
This was simply one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had. I was looking forward to trying this pizza and was utterly heartbroken. The crust was nice and thick however everything else such as toppings seemed to play second fiddle to it and you could not really taste it. The price of their pizza really made me feel as though it should have been the best pizza I’ve ever had, but it fell far short. I probably should have gotten a hint when I walked into the restaurant and there were no other customers.
Los Toros (Concord)
This restaurant is a great place for pupusas! If you’ve never had the chance to try a pupusa, I suggest you visit this place. They specialize in Mexican and Salvadorian food and everything is cooked to order. It’s a busy place in Concord and the owner is always interested in listening to your comments.
Tick Tock Diner (New York)
This is a brilliant little diner! It was recommended by the doorman of our hotel, and he was right. The food was good diner fare and portions were huge. We didn’t have to eat again till the evening. We were also given great tourist advice by Steve, our waiter. We went there every day for breakfast and were never disappointed.
Burritos To Go (Broomfield)
Burritos To Go is the best kept secret in Broomfield but now the secret is out! They serve the best home cooked food in the area. The hand held nachos are worth trying.
Baci Di Firenze Trattoria (Anaheim)
I think this is the best Italian food I've had since I left Chicago thirty years ago! An absolutely charming restaurant with excellent food, presentation and an owner who makes you feel like you're in someone's kitchen in Italy. I couldn't decide between the steak and the pasta so he brought the steak with a side of pasta ‘on the house’. I have recommended this restaurant to more than a dozen friends who have had the same great experience. I suggest you get there now before everyone discovers it.
La Vina Cafe (San Antonio)
The Tex-Mex food is great and the family that run this place make it special. The food is simple, great and very reasonable. The salsa with the lunch chips is good.
Starling Diner (Long Beach)
Starling Diner is a find! It would be typical in San Francisco or New York City but in Long Beach it has its own class. It's a vibrant happy place that serves high quality breakfast, lunch and brunch. The homemade double cream scones are an absolute must - they taste like how scones are meant to be. The French toast was voted Best of Southern California by the OC Weekly. It's almost like a magic diner hidden in the middle of a charming neighbourhood of craftsman bungalows and Spanish revivals. If you love fresh food and organic ingredients, then you owe yourself a treat.
Nankin Cafe (Minneapolis)
I think this is a great Chinese restaurant with the best pressed duck I’ve ever had. The chow mein is great as well.
Carmino's Pizza - Cleveland (Cleveland)
We have not had any problems with the delivery service of Carmino's Pizza except perhaps they arrive earlier than what they say! I am very impressed with their garlic butter sauce instead of the red pizza sauce. If you want to try a larger, more filling treat go for the calzone – I think this stuffed pizza is out of this world. I have also just discovered a new treat from Carmino's - their wings. When I called in my last order, I had a hard time deciding which flavour to try next as the six we’ve tried have all been great. I hear they have great fried chicken too.
