Valdez Meat Market & Catering Service (Edinburg)

This meat market/eatery has been around for many years. It is located out of the way of major traffic corridors but easy to find. The people are nice. The service is prompt. The meat prices are competitive. The meat looks fresh. They sell BBQ plates - brisquet and chicken - that have homemade taste. They have placed a few tables where food may be consumed. Saturdays and Sundays, as is traditional with Mexican American neighborhoods, they sell hot ‘menudo’ which is quite good. Menudo is a traditional weekend dish along with ‘barbacoa.’ I won't explain what these two dishes are because if you don't know, you probably won't try them, as both need an acquired taste. All I will say is that they are very ethnic and a staple of genuine Mexican cooking. Enjoy!

Snooty Fox (Indianapolis)

I was delighted by the new decor after the restaurant makeover! It was much brighter and seemed to bring younger people in. I had the BBQ chicken salad for lunch and loved it. All the prices were very reasonable as well. I didn't have to spend 13 dollars to get a good meal. I would definitely recommend the Snooty Fox to a friend.

1001 Nights Restaurant (Brooklyn)

We went to the 1001 Nights Restaurant with Middle Eastern cuisine today for the first time and were amazed with the service, food and the whole experience. The food is extremely authentic. The owner waited on us and is an amazing, wonderful person! He recommended a dish, which we tried and loved. He also allowed us to sample other dishes. The owner invited us for the belly dance show on weekends which made our experience much more special. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try something new.

Rock The Dock Pub & Grill (Tacoma)

I checked out this place on the advice of some friends of mine who have a boat moored in Tacoma. What a find! Think Tides Tavern when it was still cool to go there. Great food and the staff was really happy to go the extra mile. Lunch for me and the wife was only $30 for the both of us - we each had a Bloody Mary. I had the five alarm burger which is really hot - be careful if you don't like spicy, and she had the fish and chips. All in all, the portions and price were more reasonable than anywhere else on the waterfront. We will be back.
