Fishmonger's Seafood Restaurant and Oyster Bar has been serving quality seafood in Durham since 1983. The building was originally a Cadillac dealership in the 1920s, and what is now the dining room used to be the showroom floor. The locally owned restaurant was first opened as a seafood market and continues to offer all its menu items as market options.

The atmosphere is casual and relaxing with chequered tile floors and paper-lined tables that are perfect to serve as base for digging into blue crabs, crab legs and oysters.

The menu features fried, grilled, steamed, broiled, and blackened seafood complemented by sides of fresh vegetables, homemade fries or onion rings. In-house hickory smoked pork barbecue is another of their specialties.

The bar offers twenty-two beers on tap and more by the bottle, many of which are local brews. An upstairs bar and dining area can be rented out for parties and other celebrations.
