Velocity Five is a recently opened, exciting upscale sports restaurant, one of the most impressive to hit the market this millennium. With over 8,000 square feet, this restaurant and bar boasts an interior of mahogany wood walls, comfortable roomy seating, private rooms and booths, wall-to-wall hard wood floors and 50 large flat screen televisions that features High Definition Satellite Direct TV, thereby allowing customers to watch virtually any televised sporting event.

Their nightly entertainment includes a disc jockey after 9:00 PM, spinning your favorite tunes over their state-of-the art sound and light system. Open daily from 11:00 AM - 2:00 AM, Velocity Five is a classic American grill, specializing in juicy steaks, excellent burgers and their signature gourmet chicken wings. They also feature a daily raw bar with the finest fresh seafood.

Strange as it may sound, this restaurant, which serves traditional barbeque dishes, is operated by 'Bubba', a friendly Iranian man in his late 50's whose real name is Hassan Khalili. But then it is no surprise either, because the venue is located not in the south, but amidst the cultural diversity of Northern Virginia. Along with business partner Joyce Hoffman, Bubba bought the place in 1996 and gave it a different feel by using models of pigs in various forms and materials as decorative items.
