Who says pizza parlors are a passé? Yes, the chains have taken over but nonetheless, the charm of these fun-filled, family places is matchless. Porky's Pizza Palace is one such place where there's a lot happening; good food, Banjo Band nights, NBA nail biters and of course, plenty of pizza.

The kitchen staff are arduously at task tossing pizzas and you could choose a gourmet chicken or the chef's special pizza of three cheeses, ground beef, linguica, mushrooms, and olives, and topped with fresh bell peppers, onions, grated Romano and Parmesan cheese. Appetizers include Buffalo wings, breaded mushrooms, and premium beer battered onion rings. If Italian is the way to go at dinner time there's spaghetti, meatballs and Italian sausages, and a cheesecake for dessert.

Porky's does its bit for the community through sponsorships, fundraisers and other events. Over the years the Oakland All-Star Banjo band has faithfully entertained diners every Thursday, adding to the general bonhomie.
