This 19th century building housing the hotel and restaurant is charming and the touch of elegance in the carefully restored decor is perfect, and never overwhelms you.

The restaurant bears a casual atmosphere and the American cuisine that emerges from the kitchen benefits from a few continental influences and has helped the owner chef win the prestigious Governor's Award for Colorado Cuisine. Favorites amongst the dinner entrées could include tenderloin au poivre, beef medallions sautéed in butter, red wine, garlic and green peppercorns and finished with heavy cream and cognac. Another popular choice is the raspberry duck, roast breast meat with a raspberry Grand Marnier sauce. Pâté, smoked salmon and trout too are some of their specialities.
