Valley Restaurant Description

In 1993 this historic hotel was acquired by Steven Alcock and a large scale refurbishment was carried out, since when the hotel has steadily regained its stature. Looking out over the Ribble Valley, the location lends itself to an imaginative use of the hotel, which has not been overlooked. The Valley Restaurant, the dining heart of the hotel offers food that does not demand a second glance, unless in wonderment at the generosity, with well-sourced, fresh ingredients well to the fore. A typical menu could offer a hot pot of mushrooms in Provencale sauce with a Lancashire cheese crust, served with slices of garlic bread, followed by Shireburn lamb joint marinated in fresh mint and served with a rich gravy. Good honest tucker which brings customers back time after time, not only for the restaurant but to use The Ribble Suite or to enjoy one of the walks or courses regularly on offer.
