Vama - The Indian Room Description

Vama is undoubtedly more expensive than most local curry houses (its cuisine is more correctly described as Punjabi, rather than Indian) but then you get what you pay for. Here you are treated to some of the finest north west Indian cuisine in London in a beautiful setting complete with a stylish Indian fossil stone floor, handcrafted teak chairs and smart crockery from Khurja, combined with exceedingly friendly and helpful service. The food is well flavoured making it intense rather than hot. Favourite dishes include tiger prawns marinated in yoghurt, chill oil and fennel followed by methi murgh, which is chicken cooked with green chilli and fresh fenugreek.

Fixed Lunch

  • £10 (2 courses) to £20 (3 courses)

Your Reviews of Vama - The Indian Room

Imaan Arora (11 September 2009)

I recently visited Vama for an evening meal and found the restaurant and staff to be splendid. Service was efficient and welcoming and the food was of a high quality. I have been going there for years and the food quality has always been consistent and I definitely will be returning soon.

Sven Gehnekuhmelken (6 October 2008)

The previous review sounds exaggerated. We have been going there for years and I personally find the staff, amicable and efficient. The food is value for money, and is cheaper than at least the other Indians restaurant in the area. We will be back.
