Shaw Hill is a beautiful hotel, golf and country house situated in 192 acres of its own land in Whittle-le-Woods. A magnificent Georgian exterior is matched by the beauty of original features inside. With an 18-hole golf course, thirty beautifully appointed bedrooms and Vardons Restaurant that serves modern British cuisine, the hotel caters for all tastes.
If playing golf is not your way to relax, head to the leisure complex that offers a range of facilities. Once you've had your share of pleasure visit the elegant AA Rosette restaurant for a meal. Begin with a terrine of fish and seafood, tomato and pepper pasta, or tian of melon and smoked pork, followed by a robust roast Goosnargh turkey, lamb hot pot, or lemon sole with king prawn mousse. End proceedings with chocolate truffle torte or a brandy snap basket.
A table d'hote dinner menu represents good value from Sunday to Friday for lunch and dinner and the Sunday lunch is also popular among diners.

Vardons Restaurant at the elegant Golf and Country Club Shaw Hill is superb. It has excellent service and fantastic food at reasonable prices and in such an elegant and relaxed setting; I would dine at this restaurant everyday. I have lived in Chorley for almost forty years and this has to be ‘simply the best’ in our area. A mid-week lunch is a good time to sample the menu. I'm taking my family there tomorrow for Sunday lunch. Congratulations to all of the staff and especially the chef.

It’s just fabulous, you can go often and you will never be disappointed as the decor, food and service are just too good. It’s a super place to relax and has an excellent atmosphere.
